You should plan to schedule your baby’s first visit after their first tooth has come in or before their first birthday. We know that your baby’s first visit to the dentist can be stressful for you and them. But don’t worry, we’ve got you!
With all our patients – and especially the youngest ones – we make it a priority to provide a comforting, fun, and safe environment. At your baby’s first visit, we will do a brief oral exam where the dentist will take a quick peek into your child’s mouth. There will be nothing painful or uncomfortable, although we know that any new experiences can cause some anxiety. That is why we encourage our patient’s parents to be right there to help provide comfort and reassurance. The exam will be over before you know it. Your baby can even sit in your lap during the exam!
