The safety of x-rays is a top priority for our office. At Rise and Shine Pediatric Dentistry use all digital x-rays to ensure the highest safety standards are in place. Our panoramic, bitewing and periapical x-rays are all digital and minimize the amount of exposure with each x-ray.
We follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for frequency and indication of x-rays as a critical part of a comprehensive dental exam. This means that the exact frequency and need for x-rays depend on each child’s individual risk for cavities, history of trauma to the teeth or jaws, and stage in dental development. We take care to customize treatment and care for each individual patient’s needs.
